Hi I have a female, she's meant to be a red-sided but althouhg she has hints of red on her she is mostly yellow striped. She's just coming up for 2 foot long. I am thinking of breading her and was wondering if you could estimate the age of a garter snake based on its size, I don't know though cause males and females are diff sizes. I'm more used to corns though.

Thanks

It's very difficult to get an accurate estimate. It's possible, but increasingly difficult the first couple of years. After that, more complicated methods are needed.

real hard to tell....unless you had if from birth. if it's a female and 2 ft long, it is big enough to breed. oh, welcome to the forum. got any pics??? we love them on here!!
