Ok... whoo hoo!!!!! Little Dude just did his first shed all by himself... all that he needed help with was the last three scales of the tip of the tale... He and I have always had shedding as a process since he lost the tip of his tail last year right after I got him..... He is an 08 and has finally figured out how to shed a year later!!!!!! I am so proud of my Little Dude... he might have to be renamed Big Dude after this.

Steve,
I will tell him that you said that .. And yes he will defiantely be getting an extra pinkie or two on this one...... Right now he is spending quality time chilling with me on my lap... Hey now that he knwos how to shed, what good am I to him:? Normally shedding time is when I get to really spend time with him that he probably was not too happy with, but I at least felt useful then.... aww man, my little guy is growing up......

You've got me worried.
Pinkies come frozen in bags. He won't feel special if he has to eat a frozen pinky.:D

What good are you to him. I can't believe you said that. He's chilling with you right now. Who needs the shed time. Instead of shed time make it warm bath time. Mine love that. They can just sooooooak in the water, relax and poop:D You'll find other interactive way to spend time with him.

Yeah.. I know.. just the empty nest syndrome :) He and his sister actually hate the water.. They are both albionos and will avoid water at all costs.. Now hudinie loves it on the other hand but he is not an albino.. hmm wonder if that has anything to do with it. And Yes Little Dude has this very special place in my heart... He is so chill and loves to have attention... Heck at the beginning of this year, he went into my sons preschool for a presentation on snakes and how they are noto the evil thing that superstition has placed them into.:) He was so good with the kids, and loved staying in my sweatshirt sleave until the presentation ... Yeah... he is the one that got me on my snake trip... now I have him, hudinie, rescue, (garters) . Rios, and an unnamed... normal and spider ball pythons.. and if all goes well I may let my son have a gecko to add to the growing reptilian family that I have....:)

And yes pinkies come frozen!! The only live food that my snakes get are feeder fish, once a month.....
and let me add that all of the Frozen food gets thawed and warmed!
