I wanted to give an update to my new residents at the Ranch. We're a radix ranch but welcome all Thamnophis or those in need.
This big girl is JW and she's a handful. She was given to me by a friend. She was my first and now I have 6 of them 5 females and 1 male(thanks Casey). She's a full grown mouse eating machine. When on her food cycle she'll eat 15-20 nightcrawler. She'll give some false strikes to get my attention. I just ignore her and she settles down quickly. Before I know it she's tapping me on the hand or pushing through my fingers.
My hope is to have some babies next Spring. These are another wonderful Garter. It will always be the T.radix Ranch but these guys will always be a part of it. She's around 36 inches and 205 grams.

They are a beauty. I just hope mine reaches her size. I try not to over feed, don't want them to become obese after all, but I don't want to stunt her either.

How many snakes do you have over there???

That's a trade secret:D

As I have stated before, it's more than 100 but less than 1000.
What's in a number, anyway.
As long as everyones happy. We have plenty of worms, pinkies, salmon, fresh water and heat.:D

I find good homes for them with other local collectors. I haven't sold any yet, just finding good homes for them is my objective. Any others are raised for the pure enjoyment of caring for and watching them grow and mature.
