I took one of my dark phase radixes out for a little sun. They like catching some sun on the carpet in the morning. Yes, she's ready to blow.
Kids walking through. Dog walking around and she just sat there. She's very comfortable with the family and is always begging for food or some time out. She's still eating so I don't think she's done cooking those babies. That of course doesn't always mean she couldn't have them. I've had radixes give birth the day they ate.
I can't wait to see her babies. Looks like she could have a few.....dozen:D

Your dark phase is also that brown I'm seeing more and more in the area. She's beautiful. Looks like they like to get some sun.
The red one is okay, too.:D

Last night/early this morning this girl(Shorty) was restless. I took her out and she calmed down immediately. I had a feeling she was going to deliver and I was right. I couldn't sleep so I've been up and down all night. I glanced into her enclosure and saw some little scrubs running around. I sat and watch her for while as she delivered some of them. She was having trouble with one so I helped. That little one has a birth defect and at first I headed to the freezer. Before I put her in I looked her over and decided to give her a chance. I'll post photos later.
I'm not sure Shorty's done. The count it 14 at this time. I've got to go.

Here's the little girl with the birth defect. She is able to move and her cloaca is in the proper location. I'm concerned about her small size and weakness. I have her in a warmer at this time. She may be a preemie. Not sure what the future holds but I wasn't ready to put her down without a fight. Her defect will not keep her from a fairly normal life(no breeding, of course)

She held on until moments ago. I knew the time was near so I held her in my hand. I'm glad it wasn't a violent death. She just stopped breathing. She was so small and fragile, I had concerns from the moment I saw her. R.I.P. little radix.:(
Her siblings are all doing great.

32 new little scrubs in the last week. I have 4 other rescue female due to pop. Looks like Dads not going to be getting any sleep for awhile.:D
I was up most of the night with Shorty. I knew she was due soon and I tried to comfort her as best I could. I fell asleep on the livingroom floor with her for about 15 minutes. To my surprize she was still beside me when I woke up. A few weeks ago she was a wild radix in my backyard. They get comfortable fast.:D
