Does anyone have pictures of these on file? I think someone is trying to pull one over on me and I just want to use them as a reference....

Are you talking about similis, Florida Blue sirtalis, or pickeringii?

I was refering to similis and sirtalis, since those are both in florida which is where the snakes in question originated from.

I have some pictures, give me a moment!

PS- they are never blue when they are born they start off brown with a greenishblueish tint but they definitely are not born blue!

From what I read here the babies start drown then go blue? I think that was said above

I had seen other pic's of babies, and had recently passed an opportunity to buy some because I was afraid they were going to end up like the brown female in the article, so I was assuming that they don't all go blue

That drab looking female I posted in the article has blossomed into a very nice looking snake, actually! With a year of proper care and lots of food, she has come from that brown, thin (just had babies in that photo) bland looking snake to a chubby checkered beauty with a lovely blueish green hue to her entire body. I find it rather attractive and she is one my favorite garters in my entire collection!

For comparison, here she was when i first got her: not blue at all!!!

Here she is now after a year of good food and tender loving care!! She truely has undergone a dramatic color change... she was not blue at all before! This snake made me a believer that the better care they get, the better their colors will be!!!

Wow I wish I would have taken the guy up on his offer for these then... all the babies looked just like that brown color...
