For awhile now most of the easterns i catch are pretty green like really green or with a green tint is it a morph?

josh - post up a pic next time you grab one!
I was up your way and stop along route 15 for a quick hike and there were a ton of dark green/brown garters! At first I didnt know what I caught, but then someone(s) here identified it for me!

They seem to be prominent in areas where there is a lot of summer cover foliage.
I have one female who's as green as the color pallet for this board. :P

I was actually surprised when I found out that some easterns are brown. There's a couple spots that I know of where they are all a various shades of dark green.
In one spot there is a ton of foliage, but in the others there's hardly any at all..
I've think its a normal shade that they come in..
