I emailed them the year they found it. Asking what happened to it. They NEVER emailed me back. :(:(

he very possibly set it back free. Some people put every herp they find back even if it's aberrant. It's a lovely snake though, hopefully, that will pop up again somewhere else!!!

I saw that one last year too....no idea what happened...just posted some photos and disappeared. would love to have that one!!!

haha, I am going back to the exact lake I found my hypo eastern at for a whole week in august! Fingers crossed for her brother or sister to be lurking!

I got this reply tonight:


I had let the garter snake go back where I had found it. I kept it a short period of time (after finding it for the 2nd time), fed it a few times, and released it. However, I do know a year or two later Joe Forks ended up finding it. I think they were clearing up the area where I had found it (boards, tin, etc) so he kept it. I'm not sure if he still has it or not though. It was a cool looking snake!
