Would it be able to get a chat room connected to this site, so members that are on at the same time can chat?
How do you delete old posts on the classified section? I've had one on there forever, which sold forever ago...

Isn't there an option to Move/Delete? Or is it just an option that those with special powers have?

I see - there really doesn't seem to be a way to remove ads - just checked
found a couple I placed myself years ago

If you mark it as sold, it will disappear.

Thanks I can no longer see it, so is that a no on the whole chat room thing?

We have discussed the chat room issue before, and even tried it once. But it didn't prove very popular. Then there is the problem of moderating it.
If two (or more) members want to chat and talk nonsense, that's just fine... we have the "It's Oh So Quiet" thread, where pretty much any topic is good.

there are websites like FREE Java Chat Room/Chat Box, Add-on & Custom Web Site Chat Room Software by Chat-Forum.com (http://chat-forum.com/) that offer free forum chats and stuff. if a member just set one up and posted the link anyone on here could use it. The ones you find online aren't as good as some of the ones that you can get but it's a solution?
Theres also www.cbox (http://www.%3Cb%3Ecbox%3C/b%3E).ws/
and I just realized that these links may not be allowed due to advertising. if they aren't allowed I apologize a lot and will remove them

we did have a chat day a couple of years ago or so on a weekend, but I missed it
reviews were mixed/mostly positive, but no huge enthusiasm
I use some of the threads in the lounge that way, and that used to be more common around here
if you go back through this thread http://www.thamnophis.com/forum/garter-snake-lounge/1293-its-oh-so-quiet-shh-shh.html, you'll find that it's had some quite lively chats, but these days it seems to have fallen into disuse - sadly
I myself am not a fast typist, so that's about the pace I can keep up with
and I know, James referred to this further up this page, but I just thought I'd bring it up again

We did make an attempt at using another group's IRC channel (with their permission) a couple of years ago, but it wasn't a success by any means. I'm not sure there's a "market" for a chat here, either.
Many of us already use MSN and there's always the It's Oh So Quiet -thread for random offtopic discussions.
