Hey I have been looking to find a reputablesource for Puget Sound garters for some time. I have yet to find someone that is currently breeding them. I have found some that have them but none that have or will have babies in the near future. I would love to add a breeding pair of this species to my snake room.

Thanks,

Kyle

I have been in contact with him in the last couple of years and he currently will only have FL blues not Pugets. :( Unless something has changed recently that is. He was actually my first thought also. Thanks

A few of our members are keeping pickeringii, Kyle. I'm sure someone on here will be breeding them this year. Good luck.

Scott unfortunately does not have pugets, he said it upsets him because he gets requests for them so often!

probably just old age
he's not currently breeding atratus or cyrtopsis either, because from what I understand he's only got a half a pair of each

I'd like to raise my hand here, but so far I haven't had success, but as soon as I do this forum will be the first to know. I have one pair at the moment and am trying to expand to a colony size of 6:4 by the end of summer.

Reed, EdgyExoticReptiles on here, bred two or three females this year. I'm not sure how many are already spoken for, but it couldn't hurt to ask. Good luck in your search!

If Scott has no pugets. Why the heck does it say on his website he does. Lol! I bought an adult male puget from him. *shrugs*

he has so many snakes, and so little time, he probably just totally forgot they are on there still. He has some other stuff listed that he no longer has as well. I am shocked that he still has time to keep up a website with that many garters!!!! And on top of that he mentioned he's moving soon... can you imagine moving all those garters?! Right during baby season!!!

Do you know why he got out of them?

probably had some die...just never replaced the missing breeders. He doesn't do his site. has a friend that does it...he is real busy and doesn't get it updated as often as he would like. he's gonna wait until after the babies are born to move now...new place didn't work out. gonna be a BIG job moving all them snakes!!!!
