looks like snakems is going to be shedding again. This past week I havent been handling her as much as I usually do (a couple times daily) but obviously have been checking on her just as much. Been busy so the quality time I have to spend with her has lessened lol
I looked at her earlier tonight only to find that her eyes are cloudy blue again already? is this weird?
She just shed early february  so It will be her second shed in a month's time. It seems so soon.

might I add how weird this is because the other night I had a dream I had another garter who was in mid shed.
lol ok maybe not that weird but figured Id add that.

Some, if not all of my snakes, especially when they've been young and growing fast, have spent every fourth week in shed. Three weeks feeding, one week shedding, three weeks feeding, etc. During that time, they've grown about 5 cm (2") between sheds.

thanks for the info! :)
... I dont think that my snake is young but I can really only guess as to how old she may be because she was a wild snake and I dont know how long she lived before I had her. And I had always thought because of her scars that she must have needed some time to acquire them all and heal lol but what do I know? maybe they all happened at once and when I found her she was freshly healed. She's a little short of two feet long and since Ive had her (October) I havent seen any growth.

also I would like to ask ya'll (because Im a tad worried)(possibly for no reason lol) what would be best as far as feeding goes during this second shed.
from what Ive read recently about a snake passing away in the middle of the shedding process has made me wonder if this is normal for my snake (considering I dont believe she is young but like I said i really dont KNOW) and I know she ate last time she was blue eyed but now I wonder, with the talk of the undigested food in the stomach that was seen during the autopsy, if I should hold off on feeding her til she's shed.

sorry to blab, any ideas are welcome and appreciated.
thanks for reading!

some snakes die for unknown reasons....they generally won't eat before shedding.....and frequent shedding like that means they are growing fast.

Don't worry too much about feeding her at this time. Many snakes refuse food during sloughing anyway, it won't do any harm to miss a meal.

One of my females(radix) shed every 3 weeks for a 6 month period.
Big growth spurt. She's doing just fine.

I'm with you Snakems. Simone shed 2-10, yesterday I noticed her eye's were starting to cloud and this morning they're very blue. Nice to know I wasn't the only one in a panic thinking "it's too soon for another shed."

THANKS SO MUCH FOR EVERYONE's posts!

.... mainly i just found this especially weird because the first few MONTHS i had her.... no shedding at ALL.
so i thought it weird that now all of a sudden she's shedding twice in a row almost like this.
I was thinking possibly the fact that its getting much warmer here. it went from NINE degrees the other night and tomorrow its supposed to be FIFTY! lol
