That's the only thing I can come up with... James and Erni are finally back to being Legless PIGS. They each ate THREE pinkies today, and looked like they could have gone for more!!!!

Since they were Aug '08 babies, I didn't cool them, but they were definitely not as interested in food over the winter. They've also been hiding a lot, like they knew they shouldn't be out, no matter what the thermometer said.

I'm hoping that they and their good appetites are harbingers of Spring. I'd love to be done with the cold, and to see my little babies out and active again.

I hope I don't jinx myself and wind up with 3 ft. of snow, but Happy Almost Spring, everyone!

Great to here your little one are back eating a good amount of food.

Yesterday, it was sixty. A lot of Robins are back. Saw geese flying north. Tomorrow, 2-4 inches of snow and temps in the teens. Iowa weather!

Glad James and Erni are back to being little pigs :) I have one in each tank that are being total pigs... Ella ate 4 fuzzies yesterday. It's the alotment I had set out for both of them. Had to go thaw a couple more for Sly(he ate one). Ditto for the little guys. I had set out 4 pinkies for the babies. Frick ate 3, Frack 1. Frick and Ella are definitely in EAT mode :D

I've found that deliberate cooling or even just slight abient room cooling, or even no cooling, either way the snakes still know whats going on outside and what season it is and slow down, stops eating as much and cycle either way, especially if you have a outside window in the snake room. Same goes for all reptiles that I have for that matter. You can only fool and manipulate mother nature so much, without going to a lot of trouble.

Yes, Jimmy and Erni live in our bedroom, so they get light from a window. You'd think they wouldn't know, though, as lately they've only come out to shed!
