Well, two of my girls have been gettin' jiggy with one of my males. To be honest, I didn't think the males was mature enough for that activity. I don't know if the deed has been completed. At this time it's a lot of courting behavior on his part. They have not been receptive, yet. Apparently, they have been sending out signals. Time will tell.

Her last babies were wonderful. Looking forward to the future.

Funny thing is I only brumated for a month. Guess that must have been long enough. Looking forward to having a few new babies. March and April will be 1st birthdays for two of my groups. Anyone have a good recipe for pinky cake? They are growing like weeds. I may need some more pinkies at this rate. They definitely like mice more than worms. There is a distinct difference in there aggression towards mice.
Reminds me of my BigBig. When I offered her a mouse it was like she had a new lease on life. She hit that mouse with authority. Since she was wild caught it makes me think she remembered them. I miss that old snake. Only saving grace is the fact I have her last babies with me. They have there mother's attitude and there father's looks

Great old snake. Luckily we have her last babies still with us. One of them just ate 5 pinkies tonight. These guys look like there mother and act like there father. We can always tell which ones are BigBig's kids. We have a lot of great memories of the old girl. The only bad part about her death was the fact she was still sharp and aware. She just wore that old body out. Putting her down wasn't easy.

*Update*
My little male(stud) that is featured in this thread apparantly didn't learn his lesson the last time he went court'n. The last time, our girl Spot tried to kill him when she felt it was time for him to get off(no pun intended). Tonight, I find him up to his old shananagans again. This time he's after Charlott.
I call this photo "Bridge over troubled water"
Will he never learn.

I'm so proud of him. That's my boy!

Most will all be placed in good home once Spring hits and when those at the meeting take their's my number will be way down. Just in time for some new babies.
Some special ones will be staying with us.

My boy is court'n. nothing more, yet.
I never count my Radixes before their hatched.
Heck, I have trouble counting them even when they're hatched.

I'm 50 now. Thirty years from now I'll be known in the neighborhood as the crazy old man with the snakes. Like the ones that spend all day feeding the birds and squirrels. I'll be out feeding the wild radixes.

One day my kids won't be able to get a hold of me so they'll have the police do a welfare check. They'll find me dead inside with 500 or more radixes. You know like the crazy people with the cats. What a way to go. Just hope they don't eat me before I'm discovered.

Steve - why wait thirty years?
I've heard the "crazy snake lady" term pop up around me - it doesn't take that much

Rhea,

That's the nicest thing anyone has called me in a long while. In my line of work, compliments are few and far in between. ;)
