So we've got the tank all set up (everything was sanitized, new substrate put in, etc) for our little female when she gets here. This morning I came home from work and when I went into the bedroom, I immediately went to the tank and started looking to see where she was so I could say hi . It took me a few seconds to realize that the dang snake hasnt even gotten to us yet

I'm either WAY too blonde...or I need to get more sleep

Yeah, Like the panic attack we had here about 2 weeks ago, Tore the whole snake room apart because we thought a garter had escaped its feeding box.

Only to later realize the snake was in a DIFFERENT feeding box, and I had checked for him in an empty feed box that was sitting six feet off to one side of where i put the snake.

Or how many times has anyone spent half the day looking for the sunglasses that were sitting on our heads while we were looking for them?

did I tell you about the time I made these people tear apart their couch, because I thought I'd lost a snake in their house?
by the time Mikhaila remembered that we had decided not to bring that snake, we were pretty far into that couch

Someone should write a book about this stuff. Reminds me of all the things that have occurred in my 25 years of law enforcement. You would think I was making most of it up.

I spent 2 days(missing the Omaha Reptile Show) demolishing my basement to find our girl Lucky. 7 days later I found her. She was 6 inches away from her enclosure and had never been on the floor. She was probably watching me feed the others and wondered why I was ignoring her.

Just the other day I was looking for my mossy frogs and starting to panic because I couldn't find them. Then I realized I had put them in a different container to feed them the night before and hadn't put them back in their regular tank.

sounds like the Utah idoit that was sitting in jail watching tv...saw they were building a new police station across the street from his house, got mad cuz it would cause problems with his meth lab....so other prisoners turned him in, police searched the house and sure enough, they found a lab.... he didn't have to worry about the lab or his house anymore!

The other day after work, I took some stuff out to my car and went back to lock up and get Jack. He wasn't in the office, so I called and called and called... went over to the main barn, he wasn't there... I was getting panicky, he never leaves me. Called and walked around and called... went back to the office to get my cell phone, walked past the car, and there he was sitting in the seat, watching me. Sigh. Never thought to see if he'd jumped in the first time.

well I just went into a major freak attack a little while ago because I thought the level of dislike had escalated and one of the cats had peed or sprayed upstairs, where my old cats have been hiding out from the new cat
there's just a tiny hallway area with extremely worn old plank floor with big cracks(absorbent, rather than repellent), and I'd put the little cat tent there
there's also a stool with a heat pad and towel in front of the window where the iguana takes in the afternoon sun
I keep underestimating that iguana, because I ended up finding that it was his, and he'd left it in the cat tent, and managed to get back on his stool somehow
