RIP Swiper

Swiper yes has passed away in the night last night. Im so very upset. I did all that I could. I thought he was getting better. I would hold him and give him some water and he would drink and drink. I did this alot during the day and really thought he was getting better. He did started to look better. Im so sad. I will miss him so much!!!! I will miss his rosy cheeks and that sneeky look on his face :( Im so sorry Kyle that he didnt live very long in my care. He sure was a beautiful snake. :( My other snakes are doing very well. I will post pics of them very soon. I just moved into a new house and now my puter is finally all hooked up and such

Thank you all so very much!!! I miss him so much. Even tho he did not like to be handled at all I just miss him lots. When I come up to the tank he gives me this look LOL. Its this give me my food look LOL. He had a sneeky look to his face. Andrew and Jennifer dont know yet. I will tell them tonight. UGH my first garter. The tank looks so sad and empty now. Max and Bennie are doing good.

Thanks again everyone. Im still so sad. I just hate walking to that tank and not seeing his sneeky face and then him slithering away but I have to go to that tank because Max and Bennie live there also lol. Im trying not to blame myself but its hard not to. I really wanted to see him get bigger. :(

Thank you all again.. Its still sad to not see Swiper in the tank. My 9 year old son knows but my 4 year old daughter dont yet. I took out the big water dish bowl since I used to put his fishies in there but the Dekayis dont need that big of a dish so I put a smaller one in :( I held Bennie today and she was happy. She stayed in my hand for awhile. She loves to be held. :rolleyes: Ill upload new pics..

Reason I ask is that if the albino had them, they will certainly spread, The mites could have killed Swiper.

Mite death is an ugly way to go...

Benny didn't have any mites, Max, the albino & Swiper did. She soaked all 3 of them till they were gone, changed out their home constantly.

Max & Swiper were fine, till 3 weeks ago... swiper just didn't eat anymore

Max and Swiper were the ones that had mites. I soaked them and cleaned out the tank very well. But maybe the Mites killed him. It just sucks :( Max and Bennie are doing well. They eat and drink. Swiper just stopped eating and went down hill from there:(

yup me and my sister literally soaked the snake and then picked off each and every mite.... we didn't know what to do at the time.... but it worked really well and altho it took hours they didn't come back!!!:D

I picked the mites off of mine also. They are hard to pick off unless they are big.
