Let's make general comments about this month's photo and caption competitions here, to keep the competition threads free of general talk.:)

I just want to point out that we'll start the voting in about 24 hours, so those of you who'd like to participate need to hurry up a bit. I know it's a short month, but we've been a week or so behind schedule for several months now and we need to catch up. Voting will end on the 28th.
