Hi Guys!
Why is that I will look at one of my Viv tanks and all my garter's are under logs and under the fake rocks, hiding or sleeping etc... Then you look again an hour later and their all out cruising around like they're each looking and exploring their Viv for a possible way out?
What causes this behavior? This really puzzles and I guess fascinates me as well?
Any ideas...? I swear it's like someone opens the gates to their hides and they ALL start roaming!
Hope everyone's doing well! I'm anxiously waiting for spring to come to Cleveland (in another 6 months:rolleyes:) so maybe some of my garters start mating!)
Regards,
Jack

Even Garters need to take a nap sometimes.

yeah - I just see it as them doing their thing - napping, strolling about a bit . . .
it's a good thing they're not mental like us, or they'd have a lot to wonder about

My Radix do the same thing. I think sometimes one will leave the hide and the other think they have seen something to eat. They follow in hopes they can get some too. I've noticed competition for food to be a driving factor in their lives. There is no such thing as "share" when it comes to eating.

They do seem to follow one another. I've noticed the same thing with my babies - either they're all hiding, or they're all out.
