Sorry I haven't been around much lately. Working on the house and trying to get the reptile room livable by the time the garters needed to be brought out of brumation. Woke them up a week ago, raised the temps several times and now have them upstairs. I attempted to feed them today for the first time. Only 3 ate and those 3 were all males. Don't know if that is important, just struck me as odd since my females are usually better eaters than the males. How long should I give the others before attempting it again. I really can't afford to toss that many mice too many times. Should I give them a few days or try again tomorrow or what? Remember this is my first time brumating. Sorry if this is a stupid question.

So I should give them a little time before trying again. Thanks everyone, I was hoping that it was normal for them not to eat right away. I was afraid that I had done something wrong during brumation and now they were paying for it. Makes me feel better.

whenI am bringing up snakes and they are still sleepy, I only thaw like 4 or 5 test pinkies..... and see who wants them... you can often see who is gonna eat and whos not, just by waving the pinky in front of them and if they go to bite it, then you know to make sure to have enough thawed for that snake and all the others that wanted the pinky :D
