Just dropping in to introduce myself. I just bought my first Garter Snake today and am very thrilled about it. My Wife has a boa and so i thought i should get my garter snake.

So advice or just wanting to chat.. hit me up.

Nice to have you with us, Cody.
First, from the beginning. NO Rosy Red's or Gold fish. They have Thiaminase. Causes B1 problems and will kill you snake.

Night crawlers are good, the kind Walmart sells. They are clearly marked "Night Crawlers" or you can catch your own from your yard as long as pesticides aren't used.
NOT Pan fish worms. The pan fish worms are toxic.

Guppies are safe to feed them.
Salmon and Tilapia are safe. Stay away from "Product of China"
