Once again, craigslist came through for me. I picked up this 39E Lizard Lounge for $20. It has screened doors on both ends. It's like new. I brought my 2 big females(Spot&Charlet) out of the frig. today. They got the new digs and are up stairs in the livingroom. These are the two females that gave me some of the wonderful babies I have. As you can see Charlet is checking things out. She came out of a frig just hours ago and acts as if she was never there. These are amazing snakes.
I still need to dress it up some but it should work great.

Anji,
The only one pictured is Charlet. Spot was in the hide warming up. Charlet has great color and I hope many of her babies will also. She's a great girl. Very calm and easy to handle. She was WC and then released and then caught 3 months later. She lived in our backyard and we are glad she's back with us. My daughter Hailee(age8) has adopted her and takes good care of her.

Michael,
I do two searches. First "Reptile" and then a search with "aquarium" I've got a line on a 40gal breeder tank but we got ice and the roads are to bad to go get it. Hoping to get it for $25. Will have to wait and see if he'll take less than he's asking.

Craiglist is one of those things you need to check daily. Be patient, the good deals are there. You have to be ready to move on them when they pop up. Don't be afraid to haggle on price. Most of the time they're motivated to get rid of it and will work with you on the price. If it's not what you want to pay don't buy it. Craigslist can be hot and cold at times.

thats a great find.... everyone in my area on CL wants insane amounts of money for used tanks right now....

I also saw an adult normal boa for $800????

you can't even give those away at a show... I hope the guy knows that!

If you have a freecycle in your area (freecycle.com) you can sometimes get some great free stuff. Again, you have to move fast or it will be gone. I have several tanks from freecycle.

Don,

The babies are growing and it looks like I'm getting some good color. That's not why I have them but if I can get you a couple I will. If your going to the world meeting we can take care of it then. Thanks for your comments. Charlet is beautiful.

Great news, Wayne.
My little "krinkle back" just shed today. That little snake has taught me more about living a full life in spite of any hardships or disabilities. I try not to miss the blessing that are sent to me.

Craigslist has been very good to me, again. Here's a 40 Gal. breeder aquarium. It didn't have a lid with it. After about an hour of work I made a screened lid for it.
Picked it up for $30. It's working out very well since it's going to my group that is growing so fast and large.

you're a good finder, and probably lucky too
I've found the occasional tank through freecycle - very occasional
actually, only once
the guy brought it to my house too - just carried it over a couple of blocks - a 39G (36"x13"x17") with all it's stuff in it: sand substrate and all that saltwater stuff
when I took out the substrate, I found the fish also . . .

Luck:confused: I've always considered it more SKILL:D Just kidding.
More "right place at the right time", I think.
I guess that would be "luck" then wouldn't it. Guess you were right after all.
I think what saved me on this tank was the fact it didn't have a
lid. It was one of those slide in lids and just making a flat one piece
lid wasn't going to secure this thing.
I don't think may people wanted to mess with it.

Most people use them for fish Steve.

Didn't you know us snake people were strange?

guidofatherof5

Not this tank, Wayne.
It even has a sticker on it "Not for water use" My little(Ha!) Radixs love it.
They spent a couple hours exploring and checking it out.
