I got the most amazing sheet set ever! It's made with that high pile plush that they've been making throws and decorative pillows with for a couple of years... now picture a soft, fuzzy, king sized sheet set with pillow cases.... can't wait to crawl back into bed tonight!!! It's like sleeping on and under the softest teddy bear :)

Oh, and the family got a Wii & Wii fit... my little Mii is fat! Better keep playing with that one! lol

Dad gave me cash, which will go to bills. Other than that, nothing. I'm still thankful for the 4 baby corns and 5 dart frogs we got at Hamburg though, so I guess Xmas just came a little early for me! And *EVERY* day is like xmas when you have two Garters!!!!!

My husband bought "me" a flat screen monitor for the computer, but of course I have to share it with the kids since they use my computer (hubby has a work laptop...). No sour grapes here! Actually, it is really pretty nice, bigger than the old monitor. The kids got a Wii from my parents and a Wii Fit (plus a couple game disks) from my sister, so they have been doing a lot of skiing and horseback riding today and yesterday.

:o=the garter snakes in the other thread, adobe photoshop, SPORE (a game), some south park seasons, a coat from Guess, chocolate covered oreos (as if oreos are not bad enough) a new headset for the computer and once I turn 21 I'll be DJ-ing (yay more $ to spoil the snakies) so they will come in handy then My boyfriend treats me too well. I yelled at him and told him that the much cheaper mud snakes I originally asked for and nothing else would have been fine! But he insists on spoiling me!!:o:confused:

Jack and Peena (short for ballpeen) Hammer will be here next week!!! I used a gift card from my boss to get them a brand new tank.... I now have Sledge Jack and Peena Hammer... LOL... if he keeps getting me snakes I am going to run out of hammers to name them after

it's been a few years since I have had anything under the tree to open.

I find my joy in spoiling the kids.

The side effect of getting old, no one gives you presents anymore.

One real highlight was a card that arrived in my mail from a member of this forum. That made my whole day.

That's a pleasure I was also lucky enough to experience! It's always exciting to receive mail from overseas!:)

bookstore gift certificates, a box of chocolates, and best - a very large beautiful aloe plant, that's already got a baby growing in the pot
I stuck the plant into Drache's cage, where I had to carefully maneuver and tuck to even fit it, just until I figure out where else it's least likely to get destroyed by the cats
has anyone here used aloe with herps?

I got different books from different persons, but the best was
a package from Broolyn;)
I liked most to get a report about Red Sided garters in Manitoba:D
This might be the only copy in Germanny.
I´ve never seen it in any literature list.
THANKS a lot, Rhea.

We didn't have much of a Christmas this year, since we had to move; we're still unpacking boxes! This whole last week was spent rebuilding "the zoo"!
"Okapi" (Pacific Giant Salamander), "Squirt" (Rough-skinned Newt), and my 4 larval Northwestern Salamanders got a new set-up for Christmas, as did my 3 Northern Red-legged Frogs. All my reptiles, except for my Kenyan Sand Boa and Western Skink have gone sleepy-sleepy for the winter.

Reed, I have seen that water snake in person, she's very pretty. (but she is a bit overweight from one too many mice:rolleyes:) Scott offered me a steal of a deal for her, but I had to turn it down. I have his male though, he's doing well. He likes to pretend my male northern water snake is a girl and regularly humps him. He was also overweight, to the point he had a fatty buildup under his belly. It's a slow process but he's trimming down nicely.

It arrived January second, But the highlight of my Christmas was a tin of fine Coleman's mustard powder from Great Britain, I just mixed some up and had it on some hot Italian sausage.

My airways are open and my eyes are watering, HEAVEN.......

Okay, Xmas came late this year, but tomorrow I'm picking up a 20g tank with stand and screen lid. For $25! I heard James and Ernestine singing earlier:

"Well, we're movin' on up!!!! TOOOO the East Side!!!!
To a DEEEEEluxe apartment, in the SKYYYYYYYYY"

Me, I'm so happy because more thought and consideration went into that surprise gift than anything I have received in years.

And on top of that my SF Garter penny arrived at the same time, again another very thoughtful gift.

Wayne,

Better save some of that for July. I'd like to give it a try, if you don't mind.

There should be plenty, James is bringing some more. I'll remind him constantly until then.

Its mustard, But the seed comes from British mustard plants, and the processing keeps it fresh.

When mustard is prepared, the flavor diminishes with time, so Coleman's is offered in a flour form, you mix it with tap water minutes before you eat it, so it has a sharp bite.

My first experience with it was in 1990 when I toured Great Britain, the chap in Liverpool where I based from had some, and we ate it on some brat sausage.

I got my puget sound, a new camera charger (my camera has been dead for like three years), a National Geographic wilderness survival guide, and makeup (lol... that sounds rediculous but hey I'm 17). I bought myself stuff to revamp my snake tank, and they are very happy with there new furniture. They love to bask and climb on it. I also bought my mice a bigger container, and they have lots of room now. From my grandpa I got $200.
