converting from fish to pinkies

last night I decided to try feeding my sanfransisco garters pinkies.I defrosted a few strips of sand eel and boiled them to destroy the thamenine.then I simply rubbed the fish sent onto the pink and they ate no bother!I recommend the varied diet for many reasons.does anyone else have any tips or advice on feeding these snakes?
