Damn. They should merge fitchi, parietalis, concinnus, tetrataenia and infernalis and call them all Thamnophis sirtalis rutilus, or "reddish garters". :D

Michael, Get with Scott when the snow melts...
Alan is in the UK and it would be very costly if even possible to get a garter snake shipped overseas.
He can sell you an Infernalis, but he does not work with the red spotted yet. (Concinnus)
I had an infernalis, it passed away. Getting at least one more next spring.
Have seen several Concinnus offered on KS lately, but they were over priced and unattractive.

Are we having fun yet? :D The red around the head and neck, and the dorsal stripe point towards concinnus in my very humble opinion. Then again, the pattern and the presence and colour of the lateral stripe and the colour of the belly seems to point towards infernalis. Again, this is just my opinion. I have been wrong about things like this before.
Frankly, it's no wonder that Rossman et al. wanted to merge certain infernalis populations with concinnus.

Ty This is where i was going in the first place. Yes I seen on KS what was offered and didn't care for the look.
I’m to much of a purest. Never did care for the morphs (although pretty) always wanted to have the little critters as in nature.

I'm gonna say infernalis... mostly cause it's fun to argue... but partly because of Jade's baby's ventral scales. They seem to be light colored where all the concinnus pics seem to be dark.

I wanted to say that, too, but thought I best not argue with the experts. :)
The colouring in the second pic certainly does seem to differ from the first.
