Hi everyone,

This is my first time here and I'm glad to be among like-minded enthusiasts. I have a red-sided and a chequered, which live with a Dice snake (Natrix tesselata). I may get a few more soon!

Just want to do a bit of promotion for the British Herpetological Society. Many of you may already be members. It's the oldest society in the world, and a charity, established in 1947, and encourages herp research and conservation around the world. Have a look at www.thebhs.org for more info. As a society we'd welcome committed enthusiasts such as you.

I'm looking forward to reading some of these threads and getting into some good discussions in the near future.

Best wishes to all,

Dave:)

I'll speak with the website guy. I'm in the process of preparing some caresheets on a wide variety of commonly kept herps, from corn snakes to chamaeleons. Would people be happy to email me pictures of garter snake set-ups/vivs or give me some tips. I've had a look at the care sheets and they're really good, so wouldn't mind referring to them in some way. Any BHS members here?

I used to be a BHS member, quite a few years ago. Just rejoined the IHS this year.
