I would be tempted to just replace everything as quickly as you can... as you said, they are so tiny it's easy for them to hide in unbelievable small spaces and your little snake might still be hiding in the equipment.
One tip to stop future escapes James gave me last year, which has been incredibly useful, was to stretch a piece of net curtain over the top of the starter tank, if that's what you're using. Just make sure it is completely tight and trapped underneath the lid.

She is using one of those exo terra terrariums... which I failed to mention before (and I apologize for not having done so) that I used one myself until the two amelanistic radiated rat snake babies I had in there dissapeared. I never found either of them :( That tanks sits in my basement un-used until this day. My advice would be to keep them in a smaller tank until they are large enough to where thres no way they will be able to fit through the grooves in that black part that lines the doors at the front. That's where they get out even though it does not look passable.

I really hope your baby turns up soon, don't give up hope! I too have had a snake turn up before I even knew it was missing.

Jade, I hope you find your little one. Aundrea lost swiper a few weeks ago...
found him the very next day!!

I lost my BALL PYTHON!! ha ha I went on vacation, after 3 days of me being gone. My bp must have missed me. I had my neighbor watch the house & take care of the many pets. I didn't at the time have latch locks. Well he got out, & my neighbor had a search party(all my neighbors I know, were over) looking.

I came home a week later, at night, I looked & searched for him. Next day, was on the phone with neighbor.. & I realized, one more time check my sons toy box in the bonusroom. GUESS who I found all curled up at the bottom??
He was cold, mad(he hisses) & he was in the shedding process.

I NOW have latch hooks.... :D

Could you show exactly where they can get out?

I'm sure I made the right decision not buying an exo terra. It seems that a lot of people have had snakes escape from those.

So sorry to hear that, Jade:(. As Esther pointed out, these tiny guys can hide in the most unlikely places... are you absolutely sure she's out?
I really hope you find her..... try bait... she's a great little feeder.

IMHO, and experience they CANNOT get out the front of the tank. However if you are keeping babies in an ExoTerra tank you must spend about 10 minutes securing the back. Now that I know how to do this I have never lost a snake in one. Course I learned the hard way.

The short, the terrariums are meant for larger critters.

You know I have more problems with rats and mice getting of than snakes. But I did misplace my male 50-50 ca. king about two years ago.

What happened?

Well I was cleaning top habitat and yes left the door open (I have the Exo Terra).

I searched for two days and literally took everything out of my snake room. No find, so I just said maybe he will turn up after all it was late spring and he had eaten not 2 days prior so what can you do. He would have survived I guess the summer. On the island get in the 80s but we do have freeze and snow sometimes in the winter.

Three weeks later I’m in the back yard and our old female calico cat is tossing something in the air having a good time. I called the wife and when she came out she said “What is that she’s playing with?” Instantly we both realized it was black and with and ran to intercept the event.

Sure enough it was my male king and by now really played out. I checked for the damages and only found 1 puncher close to his tail. Well, he got a good bathing and for a month I applied Neosporin and he is doing fine. In fact he breed both of my female kings that following spring (05-06??).

Now how he got out of the room … under the house … and then loose in the back yard is beyond me.

Yes I do pay closer attention now J
