I am now taking in a 10 foot female reticulated python.. The guy that has had her said if he don't find a home for her he was going to have her shot in the head.. I'm speechlessly MAD right now.. :mad::mad::mad: He's bring her tomorrow from Kansas.. He was going to put her in the back of the truck with the cage and it being what high 32 degrees out and its a 3 1/2 hour drive???? I hope she get's here alright.. If not I'm going to jail for kicking his teeth down his throat.. :mad::mad::mad: and my size 9 1/2 shoe up his bum...

2 right now the 13 foot hernia and now this one.. :D at least shes getting a good home.. here's another bedroom we have to add on or does anyone know can they cohabitate?

i called him back told him to keep her in the cab of the truck with him or ill call animal abuse on him since the sheriff lives 5 houses up.. he promised me he would put her in the cab..

so far today ive gotten in 2 ball pythons.. 2 sulcota turtles amd 3 red ear sliders.. tomorrow the retic..

no i promised id keep them here for her so she can see them when she want too.. These were her baby's till she had their daughter now she dont have time for them..

On a different note.. the ball pythons i got last night was in horrible HORRIBLE conditions.. No water, not even a water dish.. No food he said they wasn't fed in like i don't maybe a month so who knows when last.. no heater to get warm.. I picked the one he called a female up and she was in the tightest ball i've ever seen.. cold i mean deathly cold.. I started looking her over and on her eyes she had retained about 5-6 eye caps from shedding on both eyes.. i literally thought she was blind on just a first glance.. Check her mouth no mouth rot thank god.. BUT she does have a URI that my vet bringing over meds for today..

The male is a little bit better but not much.. He's sounds like hes got a URI as well.. no stuck sheds or eye caps but very skinny..

The home they was living in was a simi nice enclosure but the whole bottom was cover in flaked off shedds, poop, urine and cockroaches.. Litterly hundreds eating off the sheds and poop and what not.. First time i've seen cockroach eggs thats how bad it was..:eek::eek::mad:!!!!!!!!

I got them back home.. got them in a nice warm tank and HUGE water bowl.. they drank water it seems for like 2 hours.. the male took a swim.. the female found the nearest worm spot and snuggled in to sleep.. today when my vet gets here hes going to help me with her eye caps and also since i don't have my cam hes taking pics.. I'm going back over there after i get well form my surgery and taking pics of the enclosure..

After he saw what shape they was in he's all like if we want them back can i have them back? I'm like I'll think about it hummm ummm NO... The nerve of people!!:mad::mad::mad:

Natalie, what you are doing is really great. I'm hoping to get more into rescue when I retire in another year and will have the time needed to devote to their needs.

On a lighter note... Those are just WAY TEENY-TINY Sulcotas! They get big enuff to RIDE. If I had a way to litter box train them... I'd be ssssoooo tempted to get one. I bet those suckers live like at least 100, if not more, years!

yeap these are pets you have to leave in a will to someone lol.. that's why i take my daughter and son along when i can to rescue reptiles hoping they will love reptiles as much as me and my husband do.. and I'll pass this on to them..

Jenna my daughter name the ball pythons lol Tuca (Too-ka) for the male and Meca (Mee-Ka) for female.. She's going to be 4 dec 20th how she came up with those names is way beyond me.. :rolleyes: but they fit..

the guy with the retic is going to be here today at 1:30-2:00 sergery is tomarrow moring 9:00 i have been cleaning and cleaning ever ones cage out and everything no time for rest.. they told me ill be down for at lease a week i doubt that i'll probly be up by the time i get home.. pain dont effect me much when i've got other things on my mind.. :eek:

lol oh i know what you mean lol.. I'm taking care of the retic make sure shes in good health and all before i let her go to my GREAT friend Denis unless Aaron falls in love with her or i do first lol..hes got a Serpatarioum with about 500 more snakes so basically a little zoo.. He's my mentor and the one that got me in to rescuing like i am.. but the sad fact is i cant keep to much i take in or i wont have room for new rescues.. I WISH i was rich and had millions of dollars.. :(:(:(:(

That's always so hard, letting the ones you've helped go to keep room open for more. It's actually gotten harder for me as time has gone on.

Keep up the great work Natalie... oh, and once those tortoises are big enough to ride, let me know. I think I'd rather fall off of one of them than a horse. LOLOL

Well he/she is here.. the retic no name the cage is good tho really dirty... I'm in the process of cleaning it up as i type.. has a bad nose rub.. looks like a little of a URI not much tho.. still getting meds.. she/he/it is in shed.. he did do what i told him about keeping her in the front cab with him so that's good for him.. it was him and his brother who are identical twins and wearing the same thing i like crap if i get your names wrong please don't get mad at me.. only the one had a good hair cut the one shagie hair lol.. both were very nice looking guys.. :o ill take pics after she sheds and settles in.. he gave me he/him/its frozen rats also...

I cant wait to see them snakes you took in. Im so sorry they are sick but im just so glad that you have them with you now and they will get better.

I know what you mean about having a 4 year old naming the pets. I have a 4 year old and she names the snakes.. and I LOVE the tortoises. They are just sooooo CUTE.. I have a tortoise but shes a Russian and wont get that big.

Natalie called earlier and said she is doing okay! She sounds to be in great spirits, all things considered, and said the surgery went well. She should be leaving the hospital about now.

Natalie, If you come on this forum tonight, LOG OFF NOW AND GET YOUR REST!!!!!! :) We all want you to feel as great as possible as soon as possible and you need to give yourself some time to heal!!!!!!

I'm back on for just a min.. oh i am taking it slow.. cant eat very much but that means ill lose weight now lol woohoo.. i have a fever of 99.7 but its going down.. i feel like crap thought i wouldn't be in this much pain and its wearing me out more then i thought it would.. :(:( I have about a million things i want to do but cant.. i just feel usely and helpless and i hate being like this.. im usely the one taking care of someone not the other way around..

me no i still hurt but me worrying about izzy yes i feel better about that...

A lady had a mom and dad dagus that had some babies that were deformed and some dieing she called me up asked if she bring them over for izzy i told i wouldnt feed her those but if she wanted to she could.. and she did.. izzy seemd to like them alot better then the rabbits..

they get as big as a chinchilla and looks like a chipmunk with a gerbil tail.. I hated the fact she did that but they was suffering and that was to end there life faster.. they are 24.99 here buy one get one free so she ate gourmet food last night lol

ok well just got a call in i'm getting another retic its 5 foot long they say and is healthy as a horse.. just don't have time for it.. we shall see.. they are coming over tomorrow.. it a male and its name is debblo Spanish for devil lol says it has a hart on its back and as tame as can be.. this will be the first i know of a retic being tame.. :eek::eek:

will do.. were getting those sulcotas here eather today or tomorrow and then we are technically filled.. but aaron told me he had a BIG suprize for me for christmas.. i don't know what it is but ive been hinting i want one of those movable sheds that's heated and air cooled for i can start moving the rescues and my own pets out in that.. so lets hope i'm getting that for christmas.. fingers crossed.. :D:D:D:D
