I'm sure you're right.... also it can be quite daunting to come back to 5,000 unread posts... I speak from experience! But you can always click 'mark forums as read' and jump back in!:D
We miss you guys.

I always notice KitKat when she pops on... seems it wasn't tooooo long ago? She helped me so much over at KS when we first got Sly.

some of them did tell us where they were going (Rick, Roy)
Rick stops in occasionally, I think
and I think KitKat does too
others just seem to have disappeared
there are others I remember who weren't around for as long, but still a presence while they were here

I don't know any of them, since I am still fairly new. But I would love for them to come back, when they can... so I can get to know them, & their snakies!:D

I remember Josh saying that he was getting out of keeping garters, that he enjoyed watching them in the wild a lot better. Plus he was going to be working part-time involving conservation in his area. I can't remember the details.

I'm still here, just very busy with school, hockey, girlfriend, etc. :o I'm sure I'll be good for a few hundred posts this summer. :)

sometimes now I find it hard to cope with how the forum has grown
it doesn't seem that there's a huge amount more people, but there used to be a time when I was keeping up with every post and it felt like a family of friends I was part of
now - and I'm not sure how much of this is my lack of time and how much the additional bulk of posts - I've given up trying, and find myself not being "with it"
it's changed my relationship to the forum
in order to be part of it at all, I need to narrow my focus, and I don't like it much
there've been times recently where I could see myself drifting away because I already feel like I'm on the fringe
and some of these people who've dropped out, I miss quite a bit
and some of the people still here, I'd miss quite a bit
and some are not here that often any more either, like Fons, and Gijs und Sabine, and I'm starting to miss them
