I apologize for any inconvenience, I know all my pictures became disabled for a short while. The problem is resolved.

And I upgraded the package to include a lot more space for pictures and video.

Thanks,

nice man! lots of great pics!
I had a baby northern banded water snake once... they can get nasty. He would always eat from my hand but would never let me handle him. I miss him!
He was in a 20 long with a plexi glass partition. 80 land 20 water...
I think I might get me another one next spring. hopefully a yearling!
I have a thing for water snakes...

Wayne,
I looked at your Dances with Reptiles website -- the eastern garter with the babies looks like the garters in my yard. And ... ;) the babies look like sperm:D:D:D.
A couple weeks ago there was quite a tiny garter on the deck, i had to run out ahead of Frodo and rescue him and he bit me:eek:!! I washed my hands as soon as i went in:)!

They are a rugged species, total rodent eaters, and this particular breed is rare as a pet.

How big do they get? Do they like to be handled much?

Around 3 feet long, and about as big around as a roll of quarters.

I have been handling these, and the mother Carmella is a sweetheart.

She has never bit, never musked, and will crawl casually around in a hoodie, and the kangaroo pocket in the front.

So far the babies are just as mellow as mom.:D

Carmella must be an exception!

Every adult wild eastern milksnake I have ever met was lean mean and going in for the kill! They don't call em spotted adders for nothin'

My babies are very good with temperament, but then again they haven't been roaming the wilderness for a few years before suddenly being picked up and "attacked" by a large intimidating monster, LOL!

Yes Carmella is an exception, that's why I love her so much.

She was frozen stiff and frostbit that blustery spring night when I found her it was like 27 out.. She lost some of her tail to that ordeal.

Heck, just the other night she sat and let me pick at some stuck shed on her face, still never tried to bite.

No, I'd try one though, but my Dekayi's would get jealous.

A whole bunch gathered together stink!!!! The smell is almost as repulsive as a tank of crickets.
