Will anyone be attending the Tinley show in Chicago this month on the 12th and the 13th?

not me....... wish i could!!!!!:D
I found a guy with a W/C adult Blackneck and he only wants $30 for it. But he lives in Iowa and won't ship. A friend of his is willing to deliver it to Tinley this month, but I can't afford to go that far for a show. I thought that maybe someone else was going that might like to have it.

'Rockster, he won't ship.
And Black-Necks *aren't* native to Iowa...
I think there may be more to the pic than what we know about this guy getting rid of his Black-Neck. PARTICULARLY at $30.00.
As far as I know he has gotten into ball pythons and is getting rid of his other snakes. That's all I really know about him, though. I do know that the forum where he belongs kind of look down their noses at anything that isn't a "real snake". Might be peer pressure.

Too funny!
I still belong to the same forum, but very quickly realized that garters were not considered to be "real snakes". I now check out their "member-to-member" sales ads if I go there at all. The core group of the forum are all breeders of designer balls and other pythons.

Which forum?
Alex Hue Reptiles. Alex is located here in Michigan and is a well known breeder. He seems mostly to carry balls, bloods, and geckos, though he has others. It's his forum.
Don't get me wrong, no one there has said anything against garters, it is the lack of replies or interest in even reading any posts about them that gave it away.

I don't know... $30 sounds awfully inexpensive for a black-neck, particularly as it seems the older snakes get the more expensive they become. At least for Hoggies.
So, Tori, amd I understanding your correctly? You're thinking he's asking $30 at his forum because people there don't like garters and look down on them? Like, if he offered it here he'd ask more since garters are more prized here?
That could be. But I don't think, if it were me, I'd do that. Offer my garter to people that prize them so little. For fear of it becomeing food for a "designer" snake.

:p To bad I actually see that all the time though. But it's true! I walk into a pet store. Whats your favorite snake Amanda? Well. Probably my puget sound and flame garters. WHA? Garters?? Get yourself a ball python! Uh sir. Everyone has ball pythons. The market is flooded with them. Why is that so "cool". Well... I don't know. Anyone can find a garter in their backyard.
Not these garters! And anyone can find a ball python on craigslist. lol
And I HAVE blood pythons and lots of other stuff like that. "Cooler" stuff then his normal common boas and balls. One other thing I have noticed is when you say you have garters, they assume you are poor or something and don't have anything else.

Or that you're 'stupid' and don't know snakes...
I get the "dont' have anything else" dealy-0. A dumb mo'fo at kingsnake.com went off on me and told me my Hoggies'd die because I was new Hoggy owner.
Why are people so mean and nasty? Why can't people be nice and encourage each other? Why can't people thrill when others come in and geek out with garters/whatever?
Humanity. Sucks.
