Try washing the pinks/fuzzy with water then drying it thoroughly; after this, smear raw fish flesh/skin (the skin has more "odor" to it) or worm guts (you'll get more of guts/blood from the area nearest the front end of the worm, or the smaller part when comparing the two halves with the clitellum, or the band on the worm.)
Really this is all that's necessary; possibly a little bit of motion too though.

Get a salmon fillet from the grocery store.
Live pinky mice should not be harmful to the snake, but live mice that are weaned from the mother, well they can and will bite the snake and hurt it.

Iggy, I know you said the mice aren't frozen, but are they alive or pre-killed?
Have the snakes taken feeder fish for you? If so, you can wash the mouse off like Kyle said, then place both mouse & feeder fish in a ziploc bag and rub the fish all over the mouse through the bag. If that doesn't work, see if you can dig up a night crawler and do the same as above, but with the night crawler. If that doesn't work, you can brain the mouse... it's gross and I couldn't/wouldn't do it to a live mouse, but If it was pre-killed... you're basically poking it's head with something sharp, like the tip of a knife, until some brain fluid comes out... I know, disgusting... it did get my wild caught girl to take mice, though. I'd definitely try the other things first, tho! lol Oh, and make sure to leave the snake alone with it's prey in a quiet area. Good luck!!!

well the mice i buy are live i have tried rubbing fish on it before the first time i bought a pinkie for my girl i rubbed some feeder fish on it and it went after it after circling around the pinkie, my snakes do take feeder fish but the pet store never seems to have anything other then gold fish and these blackish colored fish.

I always thaw fish and mice together in the same water. In this way it almost always works for me.

I just mixed up a bowl with a pile of pinkies, some cut up fish, a couple live fish and some chopped night crawlers.
The garters are pigging out on it:D

They ate the pinkies whole. I ordered the extra small pinks.
However, Pinks are not bad to cut up. Some of us just use a pair of scissors to cut thawed pinks, I prefer to take them when they are still a little stiff and pass a large cleaver through them while partly frozen.
Either way, once you get used to it, it's not so bad.
