Why do Garter Snakes like to curl up in people long hair ny sister once put all 3 of my snakes in her hair and when i told my boss that he asked if i was related to medusa haha.

and if you have a pony tail or a bun in your hair they will make that their anchor point and curl up and around that part of your hair (base of the ponty tail and bun) its quite interesting

so when you combine the cover (your hair is nice to hide in) the security of something to wrap up on, and the warmth of your scalp, it makes an inviting environment for a snake to check out.:cool:

Bull snakes do it too. Ripley always crawls up and gets tangled in my hair at the park.

Useless (or maybe not) tip of the day. If you get cold at night, wear a stocking cap to bed. It works especially well if you are camping in cold weather.

well if your worried about your picture being plastered all over the internet then that would be a safe way to show off our snakes with out people really knowing who you are. mine are all hiding in the hood of my sweater curled around my head and neck.

i think garter snakes like to dangle off or rap around places warm and concealed if possible maybe a person could go all out and make a garter jungle gym hat haha, though it may look dorkey would be funny to see
