Thanks guys!
I think you mean the "redback" with the red snake in the toilet that can kill you.
Yup, we found one in the wild. Actually under the first rock we flipped over!
The dessert was way to cold for cool species. 15 celcius during the day and 4 at night. I wouldnt be active if I was a reptile...
The perentie is by far the best looking Goanna in the world!
Sabine, Im sure you'll be here again sometime. Maybe even to check out the Dendrelaphis! They look SO much like garters. I'm really thinking outbout looking for them when I get back.
I'll be sorting tru my photo's sometime this week. Just to see if I can update a bit more. We still have to visit Steve Irwins zoo. Only 40 kilometers from here :D
Cheers guys!

Amazing pictures! My nephew and his girlfriend (both from Germany) were just in Australia via the backpackers' work visa deal (work a month, travel a month...). I hope to post some of their pics on HumboldtHerps soon.

After some good rainfall, these guys will jump around in the livingroom.

A jellyfish.
Haven't seen any box jellyfish yet, but we'll be heading down the beach this weekend, so who knows!

A young Mudcrab. At this size the pinching starts to hurt a bit. Its said they become ' dangerous' when their backsheild reaches 15 cm.

Some kind of weird spiderhole. A tube with a leaf glued to the end of it. Not to sure on this one.
http://i155.photobucket.com/albums/s285/reptile-paradise/Australie/spinnenhuissmall.jpg
And to end this nature series...A nice waterfall on Mount Glorious.

And then for something completely different!
I'm not to sure on the colors of these pictures. I photoshopped a bit and I'm viewing them on a stoneage monitor (the good old times...)

No idea what the snakeys are doing in that picture. They where venomous snakes, not gartersnakes, so they're probably just being crazy :D
