100 Snakes!

I finally hit it!!! i knew it would happen eventually... I was up to 64... then that mama FL blue I purchased had 20.... and then I brought home 11 baby garters, a water snake, a ball python, a corn snake, a black rat snake, and the only albino dekay's snake there is home from daytona...

64 + 20 +16..... 100!!!

YES!!!! My snakeroom is officially almost full... finally.

would you guys be interested in a thread where I basically gave a tour of the snakeroom with photos and explanations on how I manage and afford it all? I get asked that so much, and it just seems like fun :D

Just counted 89 snakes here, plus 20 eggs. Cant count them yet though. Hopefully in another month or so, they will hatch.

So Shannon, have you counted species/subspecies, and do you have any more eggs to hatch or snakes to birth this year?

Shannon, I can't wait to see it! I've always been in awe of those who can find time to keep up with that many snakes, and still fit in a regular life too! I'd love to see how you manage, and also how you make them all fit in that room!

I have a beagle dog..1 toad...praying mantis one in the house and the others in the garden.. 2 dekayi snakes...1 box turtle and 1 baby tortoise.. That about it.. Ohhh and 3 kids LOL and a bf lol:D

lol, let me explain. During my last trip to the mountains... I plugged my camera battery charger into the wall of our camper. And I left it there....


luckly., my batery was full for the trip to daytona, but now my camera is DEAD, and will remian so until i am able to procure a new battery charger:(:(:(

I am going through picture taking withdrawal.


its horrible. The LAST couple pictures I took were of Scott felzer and his albino flame at the show and then the quick ones on my lap in the truck.. and thats a week ago now!!!! I dont go more than two days without photographing!!! aauuughhnhhhhhhhhhhhhnklgndkfjvbhsdoirn

my rescue friend has probably 300 critters, counting all herps, snakes, lizards, turtles, tortoises, and monitors...plus a couple hundred mice and rats for breeding and feeding....:eek: that and a girlfriend, 6 rotties, a chihuahua, and a number of birds, several raccons, coyote pup hes rehabbing, and a bunch of amphibians....most people have a room set aside in their house for herps...he has a room set aside for him and his girlfriend!!!!:eek:

not only 6 dogs...6 rotties...one with a head bigger as a basketball!!!!poop patrol in his yard is a task (between the rotties and the 5 large sulcatta tortoises!!!!)

Dang. I go through 120 lbs of dogfood per month with just two 85 lb boxer mixes and some rats and mice. Thats gotta be a lot of food and a lot of poo.
