had to take a photo of a male eastern I have, possible het for melanistic...he has been getting attitude lately. he flattens out and strikes at me.... here's a shot of him!!!!

Nice Eastern, he has high red like my Chili. Too bad I don't live in the US. The two of them would make a nice breeding pair.

yes it would!!! I am gonna breed him (or at least put him with) my female melanistic. he is wild caught from the same area as the melanistics....guy I got him from says that he has found melanistics in the area he found this one..has a friend that has bred some from that area and gotten melanistics....I am hoping...if not, should get a large litter of hets!!!! she should produce a lot....she is 43 inches long!!!!!

Amanda, I dont think Don's is a flame (just a really pretty high red normal) ours will get much more orange/red when they get older

unfortunately not....got what was supposed to be 1.1 orange, 1.1 silver, and 1.1 yellow....got 2 female orange, 2 female silver, nad 2 male yellow. might be from the same litter...will be breeding a yellow male to the orange.... hopefully she will breed this year!!!!
