Good news - some of them are eating already.
The mother is scarfing down food like mad as well, she has turned down feed for over a week now, so she is making up for lost time:D
Pictures soon.

Sadly Wayne we don't have a population of any other storeria species locally. I would love to photograph red bellies or ringnecks here...but I still love the browns.

Baby Dekayi food! the cup is a medicine cup from a bottle of Nyquil.
Gathered these up just after dark when the dew was heavy on the grass.

I've NEVER seen baby slugs around here, luckily my baby dekayis seem to love cut up worms.

That's good Jerry. I cut up worms and mix with the slugs, they have ate it all down.
If you look in that cup close, there are baby snails in there too, in the morning, I found a bunch of empty snail shells:D
With baby slugs to offer, I have never had a baby Dekayi refuse to eat.
Isn't it amazing how fast these little devils grow?
Last night I took the adults outside one at a time, and let them pluck fresh slugs off the leaves, it was really cool:cool:
I try to save the little worms for my baby garters, since the garters have no interest in the slugs, and here where I live, it's impossible to walk at night without stepping on a slug!

Ahh... You lucky!
When my dekayi girl has her babies I will have to try and chop nightcrawlers SOO tiny!
She just shed! (May be her pre birh shed) and I am now pretty darn thinking she must be a hypo. WOW! She just glows...

I've never seen a slug here. I wonder what the Dekays here in MN eat? Wait. We do have, I think, these black slugs that like live way under leaf debris.
Never mind! :)

With babies' appetites, I'm surprised they didn't just eat the shells as well...tehe.

Make that 19!
A neighbor down the street was working in her garden, when she found a neonate DK and put it in a cup.
The doorbell rings, and she hands me this cup, and said keep it, I just sprayed pesticide all over. and then left.
The little thing is only days old. set him up waiting to see if he got any pesticide on him or not.
