Soooo for the past two days after arriving home from work I took out some garters as well as two other snakes and photographed them! The results? They are posted here for your enjoyment. (or lack thereof if you are heartless and garter snake faces don't make you warm and gooey inside)
First up is a baby girl Florida blue...

Next is Bluebie... my massive very blue female Puget.... I have had her for two years, she is unfortunately a Bob survivor the only one of the three that made it past a month... Pugets are known for being "dainty"... well she's about as dainty as a 6 year old gravid female sirtalis!

Now here is Noodle, the hypo girlie! Last shed she lost a piece of scale under her eye? She makes me smile... I love being the only one in in the whole wide world with one'a these

Now here is one of my very recent additions... this is Marigold... named for the flower she resembles! I found her a few weeks ago and decided she's a keeper.. I believe she is expecting although it looks like it will be a small litter! (good in a way) The thing with her is that she has this brilliant orange... and the rest of her is this weird, off light greenish color, and since green and orange are exact opposites... she always seems to have this super odd glow to her that kind of hurts my eyes and she's very hard to photograph!

Okay my memory card filled up after those 5 snakes and so that was all the thamnophis I managed to do this time... I did however capture a few other living things in the midst of all this...
Like this leaf hopper, possibly the most annoying thing I have ever tried to take a picture of. He kept rotating around and around the leaf like a squirrel does around a tree so that I could not see him... I had to trick him into ducking into the camera view!

There he goes... around and around...

And here are two other snakes of mine...
First is Cornhole, my new cornsnake as of yesterday... poor cornhole... a kid brought her to me yesterday telling me that she was boring him after 4 years, he got her as a baby, fed her only every 2 weeks at most and kept her in a 10 gallon tank her whole life! She is over 4 feet, GORGEOUS, and very, very un-used to being in the spotlight. Welcome to a much bigger and better home, Cornhole! (what kills me is that i told him to keep the tank and he said he was thinking about getting a different snake, i talked him out of it and he went out and got dart frogs instead, something that won't ever outgrow a 10 gallon thank the lord!)

Lastly, I realized that it was definitely time for new pictures of Tightie Whitie, my white-sided black rat snake. she is now pushing 5 feet and went into bird hunting mode as soon as I stuck her in the tree! bobbing her head back and forth, chasing my hand with mouth open through the limbs... ahhh I love her! I have raised her from a little eggtooth-bearing "hatchling male"! some male she turned out to be. I just think she is so beautiful that I HAD to share these pictures...

She once called a 2' x 2' cage a SPACIOUS, HUGE, get-lost-in home...

What can I say Shannon? They're all stunning! Excellent pictures of gorgeous snakes! Tightie Whitie is probably my fave! I'm usually not crazy about white snakes, but she seems to be a true white and her grey eyes are so perfect with her grey stripe. Love her!
Ok... so since finding this forum, I've added a couple more tanks, working on inhabitants for them... and now I need to go buy flowers and plant a garden to take photos of the snakes... I'm not sure if you guys are a bad influence or good :p:rolleyes::D

I know you will cringe, but I just bought a pair of puget from "Bob". I was looking for similis. I was just wondering how you could tell the difference in the sexes? I looked at a few websites and they looked to close for me to tell the difference...

How many grams is your puget? My biggest "bob" survivor female is 104 grams on empty I think...
