Just got in from cutting the grass and my big eastern apparently was expecting. I don't have a count or pics yet, but I'll get both once I get them seperated and clean up the mess.

I'll be releasing almost all of them where I found mom (now that the river/flooding has gone down), I will keep a couple of the cutest ones...although they're all adorable. :D

I had to let the kids pick two. I just couldn't decide on my own.
And then I kept the "runt" as a last minute adoption.;)

Here is an Eastern (Sirtalis) born just last week, this is what they look like small.
The water dish is the cap off a spice bottle, about 3/4 inch round.

Thanks for all the kind words, I really didn't expect to have this many babies. I guess I'd better go tomorrow and get some worms, the nightcrawlers I'm feeding mom won't cut it. ;)

Well I tried the first feed today, all but 1 have now eaten. Most ate cut up worms, a couple ate cod pieces. Now I have to decide which 2 to keep...all the rest will be released this weekend.
