yesterday while i was herping (before i found the 2 gravid girls) i found a small pool of water with about 50-100 small frogs in it (man were they fast) somehow i managed to catch 8 of them
anyways back to the story well as you all know i have been having a hard time getting checkers to eat so i put one of those little frogs near her mouth nd she gobbled it right up then i gave her another and gobbled it down and didn't want anymore so i put the rest of the frogs in a baggie in the freezer so i can give her F/T frogs

Thats cool Kev.
I set up an aquarium and netted around 100 wogs. Thank god since it rained really hard yeterday, and the flash flood took out the whole creek basin with one fell swoop.

ya i didn't wanna set up my aquarium with them in it because i don't have the food means to keep them alive besides i know where i can go back and get more i think i might go once or twice a week to gather more and i should have enough of them to last checkers for a while till i can get her on salmon

Yup. Leopards. In like 5th grade I used my mother's best large square (this thing was huge, like 12X12X12X12" or bigger) Tupperware container and grew about 30 Leopard tadpoles into real frogs. Have no idea what I fed them, but they thrived. Much to my mother's chagrin. When they were real frogs with real legs and able to hop, I turned them all loose. Man, was that ever a blast! Raising those tadpoles! :D

And Peepers and Jeepers ate today, too.
I got worms on my lunch hour and hid the tourquise deli dish in like three plastic bags before I put the worms in our communal refrigarator in the kitchnette at work. I didn't hear any screams during the afternoon and I'm glad to say I didn't forget them.
Jeepers took one bite and literally spit the worm out. Really, even with the "Pffftttt." And they really smelled, I didn't even like the way they smelled. There were "trout/pan fish" worms from Wal-Mart and I checked them before I bought them and *I* didn't see any stripes... So, I returned them and got Canadian Nitecrawlers and 6 flaming rasboras as they were outta guppies.
Jeepers snapped up the hugest bit of nitecrawler but he managed to get it down but wanted no more. Peepers went after the two rasboras in their swimming pool and couldn't catch one! It was funny! What was funnier was he also later saw them from the outside of the opaque swimming pool and was striking at them from the outside!
He ended up eating four pieces of nitecrawler.
Note: Jeepers has spots/squares of chocolate with tourquise between, too! He's just way under fed. Where the big fat worm was in him, I couldn't tell the difference between him and Peepers!
