New babies 11/7/08 !!!

Missed my birthday by one day! Oh well....

I looked in on my "preggo" and I see little squiggles all over in her enclosure.

So far we have 15 healthy babies, and one stillborn, I tried to revive it, but the stillborn had set too long. it was already ice cold... Too bad, it had some nice colors too.

She looks like she is still having them, one at a time at her own pace...

Updates will surely follow:D every time I look, there is another baby!

Here are some photos I snapped just now, the stillborn is last, look at the nice reddish orange stripe? Crappy luck on that one:mad:

Chasing these little snakes around trying to get them out of moms enclosure has been loads of fun.

congratulations wayne! my first litter was 1 stillborn also... but yesterday a second litter was born and 10 out of 20 were dead... so just be glad that it didn't turn out that way!

Thanks everyone, The stillborn didn't bother me as much as I thought it would have. Unfortunately as I fall deeper and deeper into this, the laws of average will catch up sooner or later.

One little pig is eating already! I didn't really expect much, but as soon as he smelled worm, boom "he" was on it.

Good to see the one eating so well!:)
I fed all mine within the first 24 hours, and 9 out of 11 ate. The rest within a couple of days.
BTW, I like the little spice jar lid for a water dish! I went nuts trying to find something small enough for them, and didn't even think about that! I ended up finding a little tiny bowl in some old play dishes my kids still had dragging around.

Dorothy didn't seem to think it was that awesome, as I am dumping out chopped onions, Cinnamon, nutmeg and whatever, just so I could steal the caps!

"Oh honey, look it expires in 2012, it's going bad, we need a new bottle anyways."

Or, "the kids are the only ones who eat Cinnamon on toast, and they never eat toast, so what do we need this for?"

LOL Wayne... I have a drawer full of spices in ziploc bags... we needed the little bottles with shaker lids for some project when the kids were little... they're not little anymore and the spices seem just fine in the baggies ;) Just organizing the kitchen, hun, these baggies take up so much less room than the jars ;)

btw, loooove that picture of the baby in his water dish.
