Eastern Garters and Slugs....?

Placed some slugs I found in my terrarium for my Eastern Garters to eat, but none of them show any interest at all in eating them? Is this normal?

I've never seen slugs as an eastern's preferred food item. Try worms.

I offered a slug one time. My big female, Mordecai, grabbed it-- backed up a few inches-- and opened her mouth and SPIT that sucker as far as she could. LOLOL Not really a garter's preference, I think. :-)

Easterns don't care for slugs.

Earthworms & little fishes are the best to try:D

Fish is the big food item of choice for mine.
