I walked in on a little excitement in my all-males cage: Gay sex. One of my boys from last year was latched around a male I picked up the other day. I can NOT get him off! I've heard of males tricking other males with pheromone production, but it's the middle of summer! Why would you need that?! Also, there are females in a tank across the room, and the little dude has gone with out geetin sum for a while. I just thought it would be interesting to note this has happened in captivity.

I just find it odd... Not the actual gay sex part, but that it's happening so late in the season.

Hey, live and let live, I say. If they're happy and consentual, who are we to judge? LOL

I wouldn't be concerned. Sometimes this is a display of dominance, one male over another.
But if you find a little flag flying in the cage, with a rainbow on it, please let us know!

I don't know how'd they'd even hoist it seeing as they have no hands. XD
