I took some pictures of Thamnophis hammondii yesterday. Because there are not that many pictures of this species, I did a little lookup of all picture I have. So first some old pictures in chronological order:

Now the new ones... It's a pitty that the female was going to shed... So is really 100x uglier now.

Thanks guyse.
I like them, but they are only for a real enthousiast. They are really secretive, so most of the time only observed when the lights are out and they think that you are not there. Also are they fiercer snakes, although they have not bitten, they will always display defensive behavior (flattening neck + spreading body + striking sometimes)

They're quite attractive. Not as stripey as most of the Thamnophis, and I love the grey/yellow colour combination.

They look good, Hans. My experiences with them are the same.
But what a difference between the male and the female! I do not think this is so in my two specimen.
Have to take a better look, but now i am afraid that I have two males or two females.
How old are your animals?
Mine are from 29-07-2006.
On 30-01-2008 the "male" weighed 27 gram and the "female" 36 gram.
Do not know what they weigh now, but they have grown well.
Maybe I can weigh them one of these days (Pink Floyd :D ) before I go away for the holidays.

Thanks for the replies :)
@Fons:
There is indeed quite a big difference between my male and female. It became obvious after a couple of months. Both ate like hell, still the female growth much bigger. I've never weighed or measured them though, so I can't give you these figures. I also can't give you the exact date, unless I look it up. They are animals of Steven of 2007, so yearlings now.

Okay. A year younger than mine.
And mine also are very good eaters. :)

Very beautiful snakes. At first I was questioning why they're in a different genus than sirtalis but the last set of pics cleared things up. :P
