Thought I'd throw together some of my favorite shots of all my different garters. Some are new, some you may have seen before... but then again many newcomers have never seen them. At the end of the post will be a few other random photos of some wildlife as well as the black racer that hatched today!

Very nice Shannon- Favorites are the black and white spider( jumping spider?) pics and the last racer shot.
I actually kept a black jumping spider for almost a year one time. Got pretty darn big compared to those I normally find.
I want that Racer :) And Jerry's new babies too.

Yup. Wild Turkeys. The bird Ben Franklin proposed be the 'bird' of the US. He was out voted and we got the American Bald Eagle instead.

And they grow up to be very handsome all black snakes with a pretty white chin.

Although they can grow up to be completely mental, postal, and have a taste for human flesh...

Set one on the ground, and see where the name "Racer" came from..

haha thanks guys! my camera is a panasonic lumix dmc fz18. I am hoping to get a close up lens at some point to make my macro shots ten times better. I have to take a lot of pictures of the same thing to get just a few that truly stand out! I have taken so many pictures with that camera, it is unbearable!
