finally got the spring cleaning done, now that it's summer....
this is where I keep all my critters. it's a mother-in-law apartment...only thing it doesn't have is a stove. I keep my red eared sliders in the tub in the bathroom during the winter.
here's the door in the back of my garage....

the other side of the room, including my dart board....the mouse rack was home made for a friend, he gave it to me....yes, it leans to the side, but it's sturdy!!

Nice, simple layout.. Our room also has baseboard heat, I'm ripping it out and going radiant under the floor.
Less places for escapees to hide the better. They may escape the enclosure, but not the room.. That's what I'm shooting for.
No furniture to hide in or under, tight molding, no place to go or hide.
Once again Don, nice layout there. Ok I take that back now ,,,, not really..

Thanks!! I went thru last spring and sealed every little nook and cranny, hole, or anywhere anything bigger than an ant could escape....my albino red sider escaped and got out thru a small hole and the neighbor kids killed her....sicked, but learned a hard (expensive) lesson. now, if something gets out....I generally find it.

Nice and organized, Don. :-) I'm working on getting organized. Really. I am. :-)
I've just discovered something called Book Mooch. You list books you want to give away, make a wishlist of books you'd like, and they match you up. There's a point system to try and keep it fair. I've been having a ball, moving out books I didn't want to keep and getting my wishlist filled!!! Might be an idea for ya... or maybe we should do our own Thamnophis Mooch!!! :-)

WOW! Can we say, "Serious about snakes," here? Don, you are SO LUCKY to have the m-i-l apartment. Just the perfect thing.
Lori, thanks for the tip on Book Mooch - tho I've none to contribute at the moment. Still it's good to learn about.
Don't you think we've already started Thamnophis Mooch? With T.c. ocellatus?

I do that too. :-) But then there's the ones where I sit and ponder how on earth the person can actually live with calling themselves a novelist... and what crack head published them??!! LOLOL Those I am happy to send away.
Can you send Nikki here please? LOL

Very nice Don. Looks like a perfect "man-cave" to escape to when the need arises :)

Great space you've got there, Don!
Wish I had a mother-in-law apartment to convert. I'm thinking of ways to take over the basement eventually..........:)

Sweet! Your "snake rack" looks like mine. Except I use clips on the tubs.
