I have a 5year old female Australian water dragon. It looks like my male finally figured out the birds and the bees because she is going nuts trying to find a good place to lay her eggs. The problem is she doesn't like the dirt box, she is frantically trying to dig on wooden tables, carpet, wood floors, inside bags of mulch, everywhere but the dirt box. I don't know what to do for her. I have even started digging in the dirt box to encourage her but she digs for a minute and then moves somewhere else to dig. I'm worried about her becoming egg bound. Any ideas?

Try a new cat litter box with some damp mulch in it.

Good luck

give her the bag of mulch if she likes it
what I'm trying to say is
look at what she is digging at and base your box on that

Believe it or not she decided to lay them in a chair, not a well padded one either. 3 eggs so far.
