Well ... here's a story ... Terri's female Florida blue shed last week and something strange has happened to the males  for the past three days or so they've been flying about their tank like crazy and have today refused all offerings of sustenance ... anyone else think they're in mating mode??? ... damn waste of food but I think they're too obsessed with finding the source of the scent of a woman.
Lol ... it goes so quickly ... once they we're tiny and now all three are over 20" long :D

Yes, I've seen this with my males too. Except it happened when they were placed in the outdoor pen for the "trial" run. Now I can't put another female of any species in their without them attempting to copulate. XD

How long can I expect them to refuse food for?

My boys (several species) are moody eaters when a girl is ready for their attentions.

:O .... hope they don't do this until I find mates for them all ... lmao ... I guess I'll reduce the food offerings until they have a healthy appetite again :D

One of my snakes refused food for one entire shed cycle.
When they go into breeding mode, nothing else matters.
Its the most powerful instinct of life:D

my boys are clearly not there
but most of my '07 "babies seem to have had some substantial growth spurts recently

Maybe you need to get them a subscription to the reptile magazine of their choice...complete with centerfold of "Reptile of The Month"?

Awe come on, steal my punchline:D Both of you!!
I was going to say, just tape up some pictures of girl snakes inside the enclosure.
In all seriousness, when this happened to me the first time, I posted all over KS asking why, and several of the breeders all told me the same thing. (do not worry, it's nature, he will snap out of it)
My whole family was worried sick, and suddenly one day he shed, and ate 2 mice right away, and another 2 days later.
When I hold him, he does not seem to have lost any weight, AND he had the last laugh when I cut him out of the chair.
