Congrats Wayne. You should have some awesome looking babies coming to you. I have a male similis on order from him. Now I watch Scott's site several times a week just to see what's hatching, and maybe I'm blind, but I don't see where Sott has any melanistic easterns listed yet. You guys going underground with the melanistic garters? :) Steve

Ok, it's like 10:45am where you are... did you do the early morning delivery or the guaranteed by noon delivery? I'm guessing you're having too much fun playing with the new babies to snap a few pics for us poor garter baby deprived souls :) Enjoy them Wayne! :)

Firstly, The Fed ex man was juggling my box in the front yard:mad:

We opened it up, next to the awaiting new home and let them settle a little before even clicking a picture.

More will follow, they need to be left alone for a bit.

so for starters here they are..

The Melanistic "Melanie", and a Radix.

This Radix baby is still trying to get out.....

http://www.reformedsniper.net/1/HPIM1398.jpg

The Radix pair came from unrelated albino bloodlines, one has "Christmas Snow" parents. The other from "Iowa Snow" parents.

Melanie and Magma are from different bloodlines, and will be mates.

So when these little snakes hit maturity, it should be fun.

These are the CLEANEST and Healthiest snakes I have ever bought. worth every cent.

Wayne

Oh, they're SO beautiful. I'm especially fond of melanistics, so I'm calling that one my favourite, but I'd be ecstatic to have a snake like any one of these!

Thanks everyone, I went to the pet store and got some little fishies,

and another Anole so "Crystal" could have a friend, The social dancing and dewlap flashes have already started.

I put some fishies in the water, Magma & Melanie were first to grab up some.

The Radix babies are still too restless.

The Radix babies need names, toying with "Storm" & still trying to invent one that has to do with snow, but not real obvious, Our daughter thinks the female should be "Angel" and says angels are white like snow.

Me I would hold off on the snow names, since we won't see even a flurry for quite a while:rolleyes:

Two males in a small space isn't a good idea.

Not to stray too far.. Anoles (Just like any lizard) are territorial, yet social beings. When provided with enough space, they can establish a "pecking order" The social interaction between the two is fascinating to watch.

Its just like 2 bullies in a pub, as long as they keep distance, all is well.
But if they both go into the mens room at the same time, someone gets hurt.
