garters. Good/bad. If you have experiences of the 'bad' kind, please pm me.
Looking for "different" kinds and morphs. I'm not seeking to breed and will be housing all together and thus getting only one gender. I don't think I want albinos, only because I worry (needlessly?) about light and their eyes. Definitely think I want a blue - Florida? Puget?
Thanks to all for info and helping me decide what I want!
Gertie, I keep a check on the classified ads here on the forum (see top right most tab above) and this is a link to Scott Felzers web site.
Scott Felzer's Garter Snakes, specializing in aberrant garters (http://www.albinogartersnake.com/)

Gertie, Scott has Top quality animals, thing is it is late in the breeding season, and most of the morphs are sold out.
Scotts snakes started a little early this year, and they went fast.
Good luck,
Wayne

(banging head on keyboard) Totally missed that tab, Sid. Thanks!
I've been to Scott's site... And I've my list of the snakes I want (after I win the lottery).
What I need is input about any xperiences you or others have had with him or anyone else from whom you purchased your snakes. Snakes in good health? Mites/parasites?
Sid, where did you get *your* snakes? Were you happy? Have you been a repeat buyer? Stuff like that.
If you purchased somewhere and had a bad xperience, for your protection please don't post here but pm me.
THANKS!

Wayne, thanks. I'd pm'ed you and never heard back.
So, do garters eat smaller snakes? Meaning if I got one now and more next year would next year's be in danger from the year old kid?
Scott still has some I'm very interested in. Prolly because I'm more interested in just looks and not what they carry behind them for breeding.

As long as the snakes are somewhat close in size, I have never had any cannibalism.
I keep a couple Communal tanks, just fine.
Regards,
Wayne

Wayne, looking at your picture... I can't resist! "Who says snakes aren't social?" :D
Thanks for the info.

Gertie, if you like blue garters, Puget sounds or Florida blue stripes (t.s.similis) are a great choice. Never owned any Puget Sounds, but I do have a female Florida Blue stripe that came from Scott Felzer. They can develope some intense blues. Here's a few pics of my female below. I have a male similis on order from Scott to pair up to my female in the future. Good luck with your choice. Or better yet, get one of each. Steve

Yea Wayne, I think you've either seen my pics on Kingsnake.com or on Scott Felzer's website.
Love your puget sound. I might have to order one or two of them this year. You can never have too many blue snakes, LOL
