OK Anji, Here it is. Now just print this out, tape it to the walls, hide a box of crickets behind the sofa, some peepers in a bowl of water, spray some "country scented" air freshener (not the cow poo variety)and PRESTO almost like the real thing:rolleyes:

Now I must admit, Grandparents bought 40 acre ranch, passed to mom, then passed to me, hopefully I stay on top of things, and let my kids have it too.

I visited your site, and the story about Pearl was moving.
Have you visited Limon's photo gallery?
LIMON (http://www.reformedsniper.net/limon.html)
He was an interesting purchase, I ordered the Savannah Monitor and figured a second animal would help balance out the $50 for fed ex shipping.
I asked around and could find NOTHING concerning care or husbandry of Asian Cylopshiops Major snakes. so throwing all common sense to the wind, I ordered him anyways, no regrets:)

Thats a "trick" of the camera angle:) I was lying down on my belly and shot down the length of him from extremely close to his face.
He is around 3-3.5 feet long and VERY thick. (usual BP dimensions)
That guy loves the yard, and it's the only time he does much of anything.
Here is a couple shots to better judge his size. The second photo he is swallowing an adult RAT. #3 is his weekly bath.

Wayne

Worms are the only thing I can ever get him to eat. So I roll one in calcium supplements once in a while before I feed it to him.
Stay tuned, Since Limon is such a popular guy, he may just get his own thread soon.

Wayne

I love your savannah! I just got one the other day...a woman brought him in to my work and said it walked up her driveway. He is so nice. I say he, even though I do not know the gender. I named him Che Guavera. He is about 1' 9". I have been wanting a Savannah for 6 months, but I didn't want to pay for one. I am pretty sure it is divine providence. :) !

Yes it does NOW:o
Before spot escaped, I never worried so much, it still had the glass aquarium top with the light hood, but there were gaps for filter and aerator lines, just enough for a yearling checker to slip right through!
All sealed up now...

Don, I just looked at your photo gallery, and I have to comment, if that is you clicking the shutter, you are one heck of a photographer.
The use of creative angles is impressive, you keep the focal point on the subject, rather than the background, sharp focus, excellent saturation.
Nicely done!!

Thanks!!!! I do all my own photos with my assistant Nikki. she helps with trying to get the critter to hold still. I use my work camera, a nikon cool pix 4600. just recently (after 2 years ) found the macro setting.....have gotten some good shots after that!!!! I do try to be creative....do things different...have been known to do that a lot, I have never been accused of being normal!!!!!!
