Hello everyone!!

Hi..my name is Jenny and I LOVE snakes...exspecially garters!! I grew up with an older brother who was never big into the whole sports thing but absolutly loved creatures..lol!! I always tagged along with him and soon adopted his love for reptiles and amphibians. Snakes were always my favorite..Unfortunatly my Mom did not share our love of reptiles/amphibians and I was not allowed to keep them for many years..then when I was 15 I finally was able to keep some garters. I have kept them ever since!!! I absolutly love every single one of them..right now I have seven of them. I also have a ball python and a rat snake. I am new to the whole ball python thing..but I have had her (Luna) now for about three weeks and she is eating and seems to be doing well..I made sure to buy a captive bred one. I purchased the rat snake from Petco last week also....my fiance(Scott) told me he would leave me if I got another snake (he was kidding ofcoarse but didn't want anymore) for he is terrified of snakes..lol!!..he does think they are cool though. Well..the guy at Petco came to me and begged me to take the snake..(I named him sly..the snake..not the Petco guy)..I told him my fiance is going to kill me if I do, so he offered to lower the price to five dollars..lol!! See Petco is getting rid of all of their animals and just sticking to supplies and food..so thier reptiles are ridiculously cheap!! The Petco guy knows me because I frequent there alot...and he wanted the snake to go to someone who cares about snakes (He is a fellow snake lover with 19 snakes..one of them is a 12 foot boa that he says roams freely in his room!) ..so I broke down and took him home. My fiance got over it..whew!! Ok..so that is my collection of snakes..oh here are all of their names...my eastern garter is Sammy...my plains garter is Carly..and my redsided garters are: bella,Slither, Snakey, and Fidget..lol!! My kids helped name a couple..can you guess which ones?..lol. Yea so I have two litle girls, their names are Hailey and Kaitlyn..Hailey is five..Kaitlyn is 3. They both love snakes and reptiles..we go herping all the time together and it is so much fun!! There is nothing that makes me happier than seeing my girls excited faces when they find a new critter to try and catch..lol!! Alright..so I also have four American Toads..and four grey treefrogs. I have had them for a few years now. For cats I have Sophie, and Ashton. For dogs I have two little rats named Jesse and Charlie. I was born in Minnesota and I have not left yet. I am really excited to talk with people who share my love of snakes! Thankyou anyone who has taken the time to read this! Alright..talk at ya later I'm sure..

They are both rat terriors actually....the one really does look alot like a jack though...I got them from the same breeder..Thanks for the compliment for both the dogs and kids..lol..I think they are cute too!

we've got five dumpy tree frogs and they change colour
"we" includes my daughter Mihaila who is gartergirl on this forum and does much of the naming - just so you wouldn't think I was using the royal "we"

The male treefrogs turn bright green during mating season.:)

You should come to my house then...we have a pond right down the road..at about 9:00 at night they start their mating calls..you can see many many grey treefrogs at this time of year (mating time) in the pond.:D
