I took some pictures... They are not the clearest pictures, my camera didn't really perform well close up. I read up and I think the tail is smooth with no lumps, she has a little sore on her tail but it is high up on it. Maybe your expertise could figure it out...

Another question... If I wanted to get another snake and I am not allowed to get it from the wild where do I get one, that is reputable. I would like to have another one just like her so they could co-exist.

well, there is only one problem with your pictures, haha, there is no vent in them!!! you have photographed the end of your snakes tail without the vent (the hole they poop out of) so we can't really help you sex your snake jusy yet :rolleyes:

Oh I guess she hasn't pooped yet so I have no idea where that is... I will look. Oops... Underneath and higher up?

notice where the belly sclaes are all the sudden split in half??? that is where the vent is at. That snake looks to be a male.

What species is this again? I am very near you and could help you locate a source for a partner. I have several possibly gravid female ordinoides that I have rescued from various cats, and people in my apartment complex and yesterday I found a neonate in the grass so I am hoping that I didn't get them after they gave birth. I will take pictures of all of them tonight, and maybe you guys can help tell me if i have males, females, gravid females, etc... I am not a long time thamnophis owner, I just need to stop being a bum and take some pictures of them.
